3×1 Denim Solutions

We all know quality jeans deserve the best care. We go months without washing them, stick ’em in the freezer, salt soak…anything to make sure they stay the same. To be honest these urban legend methods of preserving a pair of $300 raw denim are just a more comforting way of preparing for inevitable. Scott Morrison’s Soho store 3×1 is easing that grimace of our faces with Denim Solutions. An 8 0z. bottle lasts for 15 washes and at $20 a pop, it will keep that precious pair of jeans around a little longer. (we still recommend not washing that often)

Light Blue Ivy Polo

A polo shirt is not usually something I would get excited about wearing, because, well they are usually boring. But the good people at Left Field applied a small detail of Liberty print to the placket of a ringspun polo and came up with something fresh.
Woven, cut and sewn in the US.

Oak Street Bootmakers

Designed in Chicago, handmade in Maine. Started by the son of a cobbler, Oak Street Bootmakers are giving those other Maine-made shoe manufacturers a run for their money. I’m especially digging the Peanut Suede Vibram Sole Trail Oxford for a late summer/early fall shoe.

Genuine Horween® Peanut suede. Hand-stitched moccasin construction. Vibram sole. Form-fitting inner. Waxed stitching. Rawhide laces. Handcrafted in the USA. What more do you need to know?

Apt 606

Joining the ranks of high profiled “talent” in Miami is the men’s and women’s boutique, apt606. They are slated to open doors on August 11th along with an online shop offering brands like Nike, Thom Browne and J Brand. My favorite part has to be the sharp design of the store itself. Well designed furniture with function, from displaying product to taking a load off after a day in the intense Miami heat.

Blue Claw Co.

Riding the American made train again, here is a company and a bag that exemplifies the blend of durability and elegance.  Blue Claw Co. used inspiration from travels in Argentina to create the Worton Weekender, the Maryland based company’s first and signature bag.  Their selection is small but their quality is unparalleled.  It is a concept they started with, allowing them to handcraft each bag with the finest materials. ($298)
